SRINAGAR: The Director of Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today visited various Farmer’s fields under exotic vegetable cultivation at Pulwama.
The Director of Agriculture interacted with the farmers engaged in the cultivation of exotic vegetables in the district of Pulwama. The farmers shared their views with the Director and requested him to promote the cultivation at the divisional level.
He assured farmers of all the support from the Department of Agriculture as per the guidelines of HADP.
The Director of Agriculture directed the officials of the department to keep a close liaison with the farmers and ensure awareness under Kisan Sampark Abhiyan so that farmers are able to submit the application under various projects of the Holistic Agriculture Development programme (HADP) on its dashboard so that maximum benefits are provided to them.
He further emphasized on the need for the handholding of the farmers and redressal of their grievances regarding the handling of the dashboard designed under HADP.
He directed the concerned chief agriculture officer Pulwama to constitute a HADP cell at the district level so that grievances are redressed at the earliest and a hustle-free system is put in place for successful implementation of the programme and targets fixed for the year 2023-24 are achieved in full.
