Jammu: Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Jammu, commemorated National PR Day on Friday by organizing a virtual panel discussion on the theme ‘G20 and Indian Values: Public Relations Perspectives’, in consonance with India’s G20 Presidency.
The panel had Dr Rashmi Singh, IAS, Commissioner, State Taxes Department, J&K, and Dr Radhe Krishan, Deputy Director (PR), Bureau of Indian Standards, GOI, as resource persons.
Post the launch of the PRSI Jammu Chapter recently, this was the first online discussion organized under the guidance of Prof. Anil Saumitra, Chairperson PRSI, J&K Chapter, Regional Director, IIMC Jammu. The event was attended by PR and Communication professionals, media educators, and students from across the country.
Prominent among those who presided over the online discussion included Dr. Mahesh Kaul, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, Dr. Archana Kumari, Associate Professor, JNU and Secretary PRSI Jammu; Dr Monisa Qadri from Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, Joint Secretary PRSI Jammu; Dr Pardeep Singh Bali, Asst. Professor, Department of Journalism and Media Studies, University of Jammu, Treasurer, PRSI Jammu; Dr Ravia Gupta, Asst. Professor, Department of Journalism and Media Studies, University of Jammu and Executive member PRSI Jammu; Harry Walia, Journalist, Media Professional, and Member, PRSI Jammu; Inderjeet Singh, Journalist and lifetime member PRSI Jammu.
Earlier, Harry Walia, Journalist, Media Professional, and Member of PRSI Jammu formally welcomed the esteemed guests. Dr. Pardeep Singh Bali introduced the guests, along with Ambika Rashmi, student wing member of PRSI Jammu.
Dr. Monisa Qadri from the Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, Joint Secretary PRSI Jammu Chapter, presented the formal vote of thanks.
Dr. Ravia Gupta, Asst Prof, Dept of Journalism and Media Studies, University of Jammu, Executive Member, PRSI Jammu Chapter moderated the session that ended with a round of questions and answers.
