The event was presided by the JKVDA President Dr. Reyaz Nazir Reshi. Vice-President of the Jammu Chapter Dr. Sunil Dogra, and officers of the twin department from the Kashmir division participated.

Various burning issues pertaining to the fraternity were discussed in detail. The secretary JKVDA-K in the proceedings highlighted major achievements made by the association during its tenure.

President JKVDA brought forth various issues and roadblocks faced by the fraternity. Dr Umesh Chandra Sharma while praising the work of veterinarians of Jammu and Kashmir assured full support from the Veterinary Council of India and the Indian Veterinary Association.

He further added that Veterinarians all over India are one fraternity and stand with their counterparts in Jammu and Kashmir.

Amongst the major demand raised, was the need for technical directors for the twin departments of Animal and Sheep Husbandry of Jammu and Kashmir, which was acknowledged by the VCI president who assured full support in taking this to a logical conclusion.

The VCI president said that it is against the VCI Regulations Act of 1984, and government must revisit its decision of forcing non-technical directors.

The fraternity via JKVDA expressed its contentment as far as the Administrative Department is catering to their genuine demands especially Atal Dullo Ji, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary Agricultural Production Department, and Madam Shabnam Shah Kamili (JKAS) Secretary APD.

The president of JKVDA extended full support and cooperation of the fraternity to the administrative department in implementing the Holistic Agricultural Development Program and pledged to make it a success.
