Police organise Volleyball Tournament in Awantipora

Srinagar: In order to inculcate & promote sports spirit among the youth and build healthy Police-Public relations, Police in Awantipora under Civic Action Programme inaugurated 01-day Volley Ball Tournament at Lariyar Tral.

Eight teams from various places in Police District Awantipora participated in this tournament.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the winning team as well as the runner-up team were felicitated by SSP Awantipora Ajaz Ahmed Zargar with Trophies, Medals, Certificates and cash prizes, participating certificates among all the participating teams.

SSP Awantipora congratulated the winner/runner-up teams and expressed that Police is committed to giving a boost to the sports and other youth development activities in the area and transforming/moulding the sportsmen in the right direction. He further stated that sports activities are important for personality development, positivity, and good health and keep the individual away from the negative forces.

On the occasion, ADC Tral, CO 42RR, CO 180BN CRPF, DySP DAR, SDPO Tral, SHO Tral & other officers were also present.
