Noted journalist from Jharkhand interacts with students at IUST

Awantipora: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Islamic University of Science and Technology today organized a guest lecture on ‘Challenges and Trends in Journalism’.

 The lecture was delivered by Anni Amrita, a noted journalist, and author from Jharkhand, and was attended by the students, scholars, and faculty.

In her lecture, Amrita emphasized ethics in journalism and discussed many challenges that a journalist faces while reporting.

Thanking the guest speaker, Dr. Mujeeb Liyakat (Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication) said such experiences help students to understand the practical aspects of work.

Pertinently, Anni has worked as the Kolhan bureau head with ETV Bihar – Jharkhand/News18, News 11, Sharp Bharat and has been awarded by Jharkhand Government, and many other organizations for her journalistic work and has authored two books.
