Srinagar: Scores of Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers working under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) demanding release and de-linking of SSA salary were injured in police action, besides many were arrested during a protest demonstration in Srinagar Pratap Park on Monday.

According to reports, hundreds of teachers who had staged protest inside Pratap park tried to move towards Jehangir Chowk for civil secretariat ‘Gherao’, whereas the police party already deployed there baton charged the protesting teachers in which scores of them sustained injuries. Meanwhile, Dozens of teachers’ were arrested.
