LCMA convenes 122nd BPA meeting, 52 cases decided on merit

SRINAGAR: The J&K Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LCMA) today convened 122nd meeting of the Building Permission Authority (BPA) under the chairmanship of Dr. Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Vice Chairman, LCMA at Dockyard, Nishat, NFR-Srinagar here.

The agenda for the meeting was discussed threadbare and a total of 52 cases were decided upon by the BPA on merits.

In the meanwhile, the Vice Chairman J&K LCMA who is also the Chairman of BOCA has requested the people residing in the local jurisdiction of LCMA to apply online through OBPS portal for proper building permission, before starting any sort of construction. Anyone resorting to illegal construction shall be dealt with seriously under law & the illegal structure(s) will be demolished, he added.

Among others, Chief Town Planner of Kashmir, Joint Commissioner (P) SMC, Secretary JKLCMA, Collector JK LCMA, Executive Engineer Lake Division 1st LCMA, Executive Engineer Electric Inspection Division, Enforcement Officers LCMA, Law officer LCMA and representatives of Executive Engineer UEED Division 1st, PHE, Tehsildar Khanyar and Tehsildar Nuzul as members of the Building Permission Authority were present in the meeting.

Moreover, Enforcement Wing of LCMA today took a demolition drive in the areas of Lal Bazar, and Doodh Mohalla NFR, Ashai-bagh Ranger where one double storey, two Single storeys, one tin shed and one plinth for shop were demolished/removed, also one shop was also sealed by the wing at Buchwara, Dalgate.
