Srinagar, Aug 12: A policeman was injured on Friday when terrorists attacked a team of security personnel in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.
Sharing details of the incident, police spokesman in a statement said that Friday later afternoon, “terrorists fired indiscriminately at police personnel” near Padshahi Bagh area of Bijbehara in Anantnag district.
A policeman received gunshot injuries and was immediately evacuated to hospital for the treatment, where his condition is stated to be stable, police spokesman said.
He said immediately after the incident, senior officers reached the spot along with reinforcement. The whole area was cordoned off and search in the area was going on.
