The 4th T20 Open Cricket Championship-2022 is powered by Ali’s Sports Academy Bandipora and supported by Bandipora Cricket Initiative.

The inaugural match was played between Rising Star Budgam vs Hamdan Hurricane Srinagar.

Speaking on the occasion, Padmashree Faisal Ali Dar said that 64 teams from across Kashmir are participating in the Knockout T20 championship. He said organizers have arranged all the required facilities in collaboration with the District Administration to run the championship smoothly and to involve youth in sports activities.

Interacting with the players and spectators, the ADC complimented the organizers of the event for showing sports spirit and involving youth in sports activities.

He said District Administration is conducting various activities under SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program) and this is also part of awareness under SVEEP to inform youth regarding voting rights.

He also highlighted the importance of the electoral process and the participation of every eligible citizen in strengthening the Democracy in the country.

The ADC urged the youth to participate in sports and athletic activities apart from pursuing their academics for their physical and mental health and said that such an event will help to keep the young generation away from drugs, and social evils and inculcate the spirit and love among the youth.
