Secy DMRR&R, Commdt SDRF review arrangements for ongoing Holy Yatra along Pahalgam axis

PAHALGAM: Secretary, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRR&R), Nazim Zai Khan and Commandant SDRF 1st Bn, Haseeb-u-Rehman today visited various camps of Amarnath Yatra route along Pahalgam axis and reviewed arrangements for ongoing SANJY-2022.

During the visit, the Secretary held a brief meeting at Nunwan base camp with the Camp Directors, District Administration representatives and representatives from Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board regarding the conduct of the SANJY-2022.

The Secretary DMRRR on the occasion directed SDRF that enough men and machinery should be placed on the ground for the successful conduct of the Yatra as well as to avoid any exigency.

Speaking during the meeting, Haseeb-u-Rehman directed all officers and officials of SDRF to be proactive all through the Shri Amarnathji Yatra period for smooth facilitation of holy devotees.

The Secretary DMRRR and Commandant SDRF also held a meeting at Chandanwari with SDRF persons and other stakeholders. During the meeting, they held detailed stock of deployment and other essential resources involved in the smooth management of holy yatra. 

The officers at both locations directed the camp directors to take all precautionary measures in the tents and langars for prevention of fire and disasters of any kind.

The visit was said to be an important step for the brainstorming, briefing and passing all necessary directions to all the functionaries deputed along the route to the holy cave.
