Srinagar: It’s for the first time in the last two years that not a single sample tested positive for Covid-19 at GMC Srinagar on Friday.

Quoting an official, news agency KNO, reported that all samples which were tested on Friday have tested negative and it has happened for the first time in two years.

He said that the department of microbiology reports no positive status for the first time in the last two years on Friday.

He said that 1,651 samples were tested in the last 24 hours at GMC Srinagar and all of them have been found negative.

It is pertinent to mention here that the number of active cases which were around 48,000 during peak of third wave, have now reduced to below 500 in J&K.

Moreover, the recovery rate has also increased from 87 percent to around 99 percent in J&K, officials say. (KNO)
