Srinagar: Border Security Force on Monday airlifted four patients to the district headquarters Kupwara from snow-bound Tangdhar sector for medical help.
An official said that on request of Kupwara district administration, BSF evacuated four patients.
Karnah-Kupwara road remains closed for vehicular movement during winter months due to heavy snowfall in the area.
Meanwhile, IG BSF Kashmir, Raja Babu Singh said that looking after the well-being of Kashmiri people is their topmost priority and that they are here to “win hearts and minds of local populace through benevolent and compassionate deeds”. (KNS)
