Baramulla: A casual labourer of Power Development Department died of electrocution while repairing a transmission line in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district on Tuesday.
News agency KNS quoted officials as saying that Mohammad Ramzan Wagay of Rawoocha Rafiabad received electric shock while repairing a transmission line in the area today morning.
He was immediately taken to a medical facility in Dangiwacha where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, locals of the area staged protest demonstration and said that before sending the casual labourer for repairing the transmission lines the concerned officials should have tested checked the line first.
