Mahayan-XI thrashes Star Palhallan by 25 runs

Palhallan, Friday 27:  In the ongoing ‘Prince Memorial Invitational Cricket Tournament – Palhallan 2018’, Mahayan-Xi battered Stars Palhallan by 25 runs. Mahayan-XI skipper after winning the toss elected to bat first and lost 4 batsmen in power-play overs with score crawling on 34. Imran and Mubeen stayed in middle for a few overs adding 40-run partnership which was decorated with singles and doubles before both the batsmen fell in successive overs. Mahayan-XI concluded their innings on 128 in allotted 30 overs. Imran was highest scorer for Mahayan-XI with 26 while as Tanveer added crucial 18 runs. Tariq of Star Palhallan bagged 3 wickets while as Bilal and Aijaz picked up 2 wickets each.

In reply, Stars Palhallan started poorly by losing 4 batsmen in power-play overs. Mahayan-XI bowler Parvaiz rattled the batting line of Star Palhallan picking up 6 wickets in his spell of 6 overs and conceded 29 runs. Parvaiz was well supported by Imran on the other end who bowled economical disciplined spell and ended up picking 2 wickets. Star Palhallan could not stand before the quality bowling line-up of Mahayan-XIand could only score 103 runs. Aijaz was highest scorer for Star Palhallan. It was Parvaiz’s magical bowling which brought miseries to Star Palhallan who were playing before their home crowd. For his exceptional bowling Parvaiz was crowned as man of the match. It was truly a delightful exhibition of disciplined squad in and outside the field.
