Srinagar: Cyber Police Kashmir has recovered several missing mobile phones and handed them over to the rightful owners.
As per a police handout, the smartphones of various models worth lakhs of rupees were handed over to the owners on Tuesday at Cyber Police Station Headquarters Srinagar.
The owners had lodged complaints about the missing phones with Cyber Police Kashmir.
As per police, a constant 24×7 effort is being made by Cyber Police Kashmir through special teams to trace the missing mobile phones apart from various online frauds, scams and other Cyber related crimes which are being reported in Cyber Police Station Kashmir Zone on routine basis by using advanced technological and conventional methods.
On the directions of IGP Kashmir Zone, various awareness campaigns and programmes have also been initiated by the Cyber Police Kashmir, wherein general public is made aware about various contemporary online frauds and scams etc, the police handout said.
