Jammu: The National Conference on Saturday dismissed media reports of District President, Women Wing, Samba, resigning from the party in support of Surjit Singh Salathia and termed the news as fake.

The Provincial President of Women Wing, Satwant Kaur Dogra said in a statement that the news about resignation of District President of Women Wing, Samba, Rajni Devi as reported by some print media houses is a fake propaganda by those who are seeking relevance in the political space of Jammu.

Satwant said that Rajni Devi called on Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah at his residence in Jammu yesterday and stated that she has not resigned from the National Conference and the print media reports on her resignation are fake and planted to jeopardize her political career.

Rajni Devi further said that ideologically she belongs to National Conference, the only secular party which respects the people from all sections of society.
