Addressing the party workers, Baig said that under the pragmatic leadership of Apni Party President Syed Mohmmad Altaf Bukhari, the party has achieved unprecedented heights where in a very short span of time we have been able to resolve multiple matters concerning the people of J&K.

“Numerous political parties of Jammu & Kashmir in 2018 had consensually reposed their trust in Altaf Sahib’s leadership and now since the inception of Apni Party, our leadership & workers have been continuously engaged in resolving and voicing a myriad of public grievances across J&K. Apni Party remains as the sole political party that has immense potential to lead J&K towards peace and progress without resorting to any discrimination on the basis of community, ethnicity or regionalism,” he said.

Baig also condemned the recent civilian killings across Kashmir division while terming them as dastardly inhumane acts of violence that aim to disturb the present tranquil atmosphere.

“These mischievous and barbaric acts of violence have no place in a civilized society. Our Party not only condemned these vicious acts of belligerence but we have reached out to the bereaved families, met with the minority communities while assuring them our unstinted support and even passed a resolution that strongly condemns violence in any of its manifestations,” he remarked.

He further requested that while it is explicitly apparent that these heinous attacks are meant to disturb the communal harmony and peace in the valley, the men in uniform must also exhibit restraint in order to avoid any escalation which the forces inimical to peace are always in search for.

Besides, Baig said that Apni Party will deliver its promises made with the people if it comes to power and will ensure that the people of J&K thrive in an era marked with serenity and progress.

“The Party leadership has already made its promises with the people of Jammu and Kashmir which will be immediately materialized once our Party comes to power. The Party will also incorporate special packages for women and youth who have been criminally neglected by the previous governments in power. Many of our sisters & daughters yearn to get married but due to economic constraints, their dreams are crushed. The educated youth of J&K who possess many prestigious degrees are still wandering for jobs. Apni Party pledges that with support of the people of J&K, all these miseries will end during our tenure,” he observed.

During the convention, various political activists from NC and PDP including Mohammad Ashraf, Waseem Ahmad, Nasir Ahmad, Raaj Mohammad, Roshin Din, Nazir Ahmad, Fayaz Ahmad along with other political workers joined Apni Party.

The party leadership welcomed the new entrants and urged them to work diligently for the public welfare in their respective areas.
