Srinagar: On the occasion of National Sports Day, the Director-General of Police J&K, Dilbag Singh, paid homage to the Indian hockey legend & Olympian Major Dhayan Chand on his birth anniversary.

He extended the good wishes for the talented, aspiring sports youth of Jammu & Kashmir and urged them to devote themselves to whatever they are best and bring laurels to J&K and the nation.

The DGP said that J&K Police has always remained active in organizing various sports activities at all levels across Jammu and Kashmir and helped in honing the talent. He said that besides the sports activities at district, range and zonal levels of its own police personnel Jammu and Kashmir Police has been punctual and regular in organizing tournaments like cycle race, cricket tournaments, football matches, jash-ne-dal, run for fun etc for every age group especially the youth.

The DGP in his message has urged and encouraged the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to devote and dedicate themselves to whatever sport they are best at. He has assured that J&K Police has organized sports activities in the UT and will continue to provide a platform for talented and aspiring sports enthusiasts to hone their skills.
