JK Police Units observe ‘Sadbhavna Diwas’

Srinagar: Sadbhavna Diwas was observed by all the units of the J&K Police across Jammu and Kashmir today.

The main function was held at Police Headquarters Srinagar. ADGP Headquarters PHQ J&K M. K. Sinha administered the pledge to the officers and personnel at Police Headquarters, Srinagar.

The officers and officials took the pledge to work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of India regardless of caste, region, religion or language. They also pledged to resolve all the difference through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence.

Spl. DG Crime J&K A. K. Choudhary, ADGsP SJM Gillani, Danesh Rana, IGP CIV PHQ, Alok Kumar, DIG, CKR, Range Amit Kumar, DPT, J&K Mushtaq Ahmad, AIsG of PHQ, Joint Director Prosecution PHQ, other senior officers and officials of PHQ were present at the pledge taking ceremony.

Meanwhile, the ‘Sadbhavna Diwas’ pledge ceremonies were also observed at all Unit Headquarters including district Police headquarters, Armed battalions, Railway Police Headquarter Jammu, Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy and other training institutions of Jammu and Kashmir Police. The supervisory and controlling officers administered the pledge to officers and personnel at their respective units.

The functions were organised while observing COVID-19 protocols, and all preventive measures like maintaining social distance and wearing of masks.
