PULWAMA, APRIL 21: District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar today chaired a meeting to review preparations for upcoming 29th Road Safety Week celebrations.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SSP Pulwama, ARTO Pulwama, Chief Medical Officer, Deputy SP Traffic, Tehsildars, EO Municipal Corporation and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, ARTO gave a detailed brief of weeklong traffic awareness functions to be celebrated in the district beginning April 23.
The theme for the road safety week this year is ‘Sadak Suraksha- Jeevan Raksha’.
DDC impressed upon the concerned to put in their best efforts to impart awareness to the masses about road safety measures and traffic regulations. He also underlined the importance of holding the Road Safety Week and said it is the part of efforts of the Government to sensitize people for adopting safe driving practices and good road behaviour.
