NC pays glowing tributes to Ab Gani Veeri

Srinagar: National Conference on Saturday paid glowing tributes to Veteran NC Leader and former Minister Haji Ab Gani Veeri on his third Death Anniversary.

“Veeri sb was a man of principles. Being closely associated with Shere e Kashmir, they struggled for the emancipation of common masses including peasantry. Such was the impact of his popularity on ground that he defeated former CM Mufti Mohammad Syed twice and remained representative of Bijbehara for three consecutive times,” NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah said in his message issued from Party Headquarters in Srinagar.

National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah has also paid glowing tributes to Ab Gani Veeri on his third death anniversary.

Congregational Fateha Khwani was offered at his ancestral graveyard at Veeri followed by a party function at Housing Colony Khanabal Anantnag. Among others those who spoke on the occasion include former MLC Dr Bashir Ah Veeri, MLA Pahalgam Altaf Kaloo, MLA Homshalibugh AB Majeed Bhat Larmi, former minister and party vice president Peerzada Ghulam Ahmad Shah, District President Anantnag Dr Syed Shafi, Riyaz Khan and members of youth wing. Members of Maraz Adbi Sangam and representatives of socio religious bodies also paid glowing tributes to the departed leader.

NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, Additiona  General Secretyary Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, South Zone President Sakina Itoo, NC Provincial Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar have also paid glowing tributes to late Ab Gani Veeri on his third death anniversary.
