Awaam Ki Awaaz: Budgam resident expresses gratitude to LG for acknowledging his suggestion

Srinagar: Budgam resident, Irfan Ahmad Bhat, has expressed gratitude to Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, for mentioning his name in radio talk show ‘Awaam ki Awaaz’ and acknowledging his suggestion of introducing subject of Rural Development in Higher Secondary and College level.

In recent episode of ‘Awaam ki Awaaz’, Lieutenant Governor spoke about the enterprising youth of J&K and overall developmental agenda of the government which revolve around creating a host of opportunities for them, devising policies and undertaking reforms that facilitate fulfillment of their dreams and aspirations.

Lieutenant Governor, during the programme, said that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir is inherently capable and talented and the UT administration is committed to provide them the right platforms. In this regard, he made a mention of several historic decisions taken by the dispensation including establishment of Youth Clubs in all the Panchayats across the UT, in the coming weeks.

During the programme, Lieutenant Governor mentioned the names of several citizens who had brought several issues into his notice and acknowledged their suggestions for overall development of J&K.

Irfan Ahmad, who used the platform of ‘Awaam ki Awaaz’ to project his suggestion before the LG, said that it was heartening to hear that LG Manoj Sinha mentioned my name in ‘Awaam ki Awaaz’ radio talk show acknowledging my suggestion.

“I am thankful to Lieutenant Governor that he himself mentioned my name in the radio talk show ‘Awaam ki Awaaz’ and recognized my suggestion related to introduction of Rural Development subject in Higher Secondary and College level,” Irfan Ahmad asserted.

Irfan remarked that ‘Awaam ki Awaaz’ is a novel concept through which common citizens can directly project their issues at higher level.

“It is a unique platform through which everyone can raise his issues directly with the Lieutenant Governor and sought their immediate redressal,” Irfan Ahmad highlighted.
