Shopian: An army soldier died after he fell from a bridge and drowned in a stream in Shopian district of south Kashmir on Friday, officials said.
News agency GNS reported while quoting the officials that Arun Kumar of Army’s 62 RR slipped from the bridge during patrolling near Sedow area.
They said the soldier’s body will be sent home in Pathankot.
A police officer confirmed the death of the soldier.
