Civilian shot dead in Budgam

Srinagar: A civilian was killed while another was injured after the unknown gunmen fired upon them civilians in Jablipora area of Bijbehara of Anantnag district on Saturday evening.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that two civilians were injured after they were fired upon by suspected militants in Jablipora.

He said that both the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where one of them succumbed to his injuries.

He identified the deceased as Sanjeet Ahmad Parry (19) son of Abdul Azeem Parrey, a resident of Jaipora The injured was identified as Shaan Bhat son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat, resident of Jablipora.

The official said that the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
