The initiative was started in ten blocks of ten districts across the UT of J&K- viz Bala in Doda, Bani in Kathua, Bounjwah in Kishtwar, Balakote in Poonch, Budhal in New Rajouri of Jammu Division, and Achabal in Anantnag, Beerwah in Budgam, Aloosa in Bandipora, Bijhama in Baramulla and Gund in Ganderbal of Kashmir division in the first phase.

To ensure all eligible beneficiaries are registered under the Ayushman Bharat PMJAY-SEHAT scheme, the camps were organised for on-spot registration of beneficiaries by CSC. The VLEs were stationed for ensuring 100% registration. The awareness activities at the grass-root level were held by involving PRIs and ASHAs for door-to-door campaigning.

The drive was conducted in coordination with Block Development Chairpersons of the respective blocks.

The initiative also focused on taking account of the total number of families or members missing from the SECC database.

The CEO Ayushaman Bharat had directed all CMOs to designate a Nodal officer for ensuring distribution of Golden Cards to the registered beneficiaries during this initiative.

The initiative of the State Health Agency will be carried out in all districts of J&K in a phased manner to attain universal coverage.
