EVM Training imparted to Presiding/ Polling Officers in Shopian

SHOPIAN: The training on handling of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) was today imparted to Presiding and Polling Officers here under the supervision of General Observer, Shopian, Vivek Puri.

During the programme, master trainers informed the Presiding and Polling officers about the functioning and operation of EVM’s. The trainers explained the functioning of the Ballot unit, Control unit and other allied functions of the EVM’s.

On the occasion, the General Observer and Returning Officer sought cooperation and coordination from presiding and polling officers for smooth, fair, free and transparent conduct of the by-election.

Earlier, in connection with 3rd phase of polling commencing on 04 December, 2020 the training was imparted to presiding and polling officers of DDC and Panchayat By-elections 2020.

Among others, Returning officer, Assistant Returning Officers, Master trainers and other concerned officers and officials were present during the programme.
