Waza Mahmood Anjuman-e-Adab organizes literary event in Srinagar

Srinagar: The recently formed literary organization Waza Mahmood Anjuman-e-Adab Srinagar organized a literary function at its headquarters at Shah Naqshband Colony, Umarabad, Srinagar.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Mohammad Younis Shah with the recitation from the Holy Quran, while Master Abdul Hameed Baig and Ghulam Qadir Sharaqwara presented Naat Nabi (SAW).

The ceremony was presided over by Farid Ahmed Farid.

He was accompanied by young poet Manzoor Yousaf, Munir Ahmed Khan and Dr. Rafiq Ahmed in the Presidency.

The duties of the directorate were performed by Khurshid Ahmad Baba. There was a discussion on various issues at the event.

Manzoor Yousuf presented the constitution on behalf of the organization, which was passed unanimously. Muhammad Younis Shah presented the agenda regarding the event.

In his presidential address, Farid Ahmad Farid emphasized on strengthening the organizational structure and said that Waza Mahmood Anjuman-e-Adab would work tirelessly to promote Kashmiri language and literature, especially Sufi poetry.
