During inspection, different types of products displayed for sale were scrutinized for their compliance with regard to various provisions of Legal Metrology Act 2009 and Packages Commodities Rules 2011.

The team booked Icon Global Venture Navi Mumbai for violating labeling norms on its product ‘Safe Life Covid-19 Suraksha Family Pack’. The Department seized   all the Packages of the product and challaned the company.  During inspection, it was found that packages of 3 ply masks, Cloth masks, hand Gloves were without MRP, date of Packing, Customer Care No. and other Mandatory declarations as required under Legal Metrology Packaged Commodities Rules 2011.
