Soldier commits suicide in Samba

Srinagar: An army solder allegedly committed suicide in Rangreth area in Budgam district on Friday.

official sources told GNS that the soldier identified as Lance Naik Omprakash committed suicide with his service rifle at Old Air Field.

He died on the spot, they said. The cause of him taking the extreme step could not be assertained immediately , they added. Meanwhile a police officer confirmed the incident and said that the proceedings have been launched in this regard.(GNS)
