BARAMULLA: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G.N Itoo accompanied by SSP Baramulla Abdul Qayoom today visited the recently declared Red Zone Shairbag Colony of Baramulla district and took stock of the situation especially observing lockdown and other related anti corona activities.
On the occasion, DC directed the functionaries deputed in the area, to ensure all the requisite health advisories are properly followed in letter and spirit so that the spread of infection is controlled. He also met various stake holders here and assured them that all the essential commodities shall be facilitated at their door steps.
Meanwhile, DC sought cooperation of the public in enforcing lockdown for the prescribed time period and appealed general public to maintain social distance and stay indoors.
Later, the DC inspected the quarantine centre established in Saint Joseph school where the students returned from different states have been kept in quarantine. He also took a detailed review of facilities made available there and directed the concerned to ensure adequate facilities especially at Sehri and Iftaar times so that students kept in quarantine centre do not face any inconvenience.
