ANANTNAG: The District Magistrate, Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar today briefed the media about the recent death incident of two pregnant women of Kharpora and Salia Seer.

He said that orders have been issued for partial enquiry and a committee under the supervision of ADC, Anantnag stand constituted to submit its report within 3 days.

The DM also said that whosoever will be found responsible of negligence will be dealt strictly as per law. The Deputy Commissioner assured that enquiry will be completed within 03 days as per the aspirations of the people.

He added that the committee has recorded statements at Salia Seer Hamdan and Kharpora regarding the incidents and a lady doctor and a staff nurse of SDH Seer Hamdan have been suspended.

The DC further said that wearing of masks is mandatory due to the prevailing situation and the district administration has distributed 6.20 lac double layered masks, free of cost among the BPL families while the masks are available for APL families at a minimum cost of Rs.5/-.

Regarding the evacuation of workers and students from various parts of the country, he said that they have been, thoroughly checked by the Health Department and are being kept under home quarantine.
