SRINAGAR, MARCH 12: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mr. Gazanfar Ali conducted an extensive tour to Qammarabad, Qammarwari, Tawheedabad and its adjoining areas.
He was accompanied by the officers of the corporation.
Enroute, Commissioner interacted with several delegations who apprised him about various developmental issues including dysfunctional street lights, clogged drains and pot holed link roads.
The Commissioner issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for disiltation and clearing of choked drains, installation of street lights and intense fumigation of the sorrundings and public buildings in view of CoronaVirus threat.
Meanwhile, the Health Officer SMC, Dr. Qazi Javid Ahmad was directed to ensure fumigation operation in the area.
The Commissioner SMC advised the residents of the Srinagar City to coordinate with the SMC staff to keep the City neat and clean besides taking care of advisory issued by the Corporation to prevent the spread of deadly COVID-19.
