DDC G’bal reviews functioning of RDD

GANDERBAL, MARCH 01: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of Rural Development Department and progress made under the flagship programmes including PMAY, MGNREGA, 14th FC, SBM and B2V-1.

The meeting was attended by CPO Ganderbal, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Ganderbal, Block Development Officers, officials from engineering wing of RDD, and other concerned.

On the occasion the DDC was briefed by the ACD Ganderbal regarding the physical and financial achievements under different schemes including PMAY, B2V1, SBM, MGNREGA, 14FC.

The DDC reviewed Block and Panchayat-wise performance made under various schemes and set the timelines for completion of all pending works, while directions were passed to expedite the pace of developmental works.

While reviewing MGNREGA, the DDC laid emphasis on timely completion of works and billing process for the works already executed by the agencies. While reviewing B2V1 works, the DDC showed satisfaction with regard to achievements made.

During the meeting, the DDC further impressed upon BDOs and executing agencies to accelerate the pace of work in their respective areas by adopting innovative methods for effective implementation of schemes and involve people in the developmental process.
