DDC reviews healthcare scenario in Budgam

BUDGAM, FEBRUARY 21: Stressing on better patient care and round the clock health services to patients, the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganaie today instructed CMO Budgam to reshuffle para-medical and other non- gazetted staff at all Health institutions in Budgam.

These directions were passed by the DDC while chairing a Health related review meeting. Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC Budgam Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, CMO Dr Nazir Ahmad, DTO, BMOs and other concerned.

The DDC said that there is a dire need of strengthening healthcare systems in the district for ensuring round the clock and hassle-free patient care at all health institutions.

He directed CMO Budgam to immediately transfer all employees who have exceeded two years of stay. He said those who fail to comply by transfer order and do not report to their places of posting shall be dealt with strictly under the law.

The DDC stressed on punctuality and strict follow up of duty roster by all doctors and para medical staff in letter and spirit. He instructed all BMOs not to allow two-day off to any doctor under any circumstances. He further emphasized BMOs to ensure discipline including use of aprons by doctors and proper dress code by other para-medical staff.

Stressing on the maintenance of sanitation and hygiene in hospitals, DDC directed concerned to ensure daily lifting of waste and its proper disposal to ensure cleanliness. For the easy access to patients, DDC instructed on for opening causality and OPD wards close to main doors besides installing signage boards for patients at each ward and corridor.

He further directed BMOs to ensure proper use of human resources for better patient care in the district and instructed them to submit list of required equipments and machinery which he assured shall submitted to higher authorities for early action.
