SRINAGAR/JAMMU: Two men from Bihar were found dead in separate incidents in Srinagar and Kathua districts on Thursday, officials said.
A 35-year-old man, identified as Mukesh Shrivastav, was found unconscious near the Smart City Gate at Pantha Chowk in Srinagar. He was shifted to SMHS Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
In a separate incident, a 50-year-old man, identified as Samiullah, was found unconscious near a mulberry tree at Hattli Morh in Kathua district. He was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua, where doctors also declared him brought dead.
Police have initiated investigations to ascertain the circumstances and cause of both deaths. Medico-legal formalities are underway, and Samiullah’s body will be handed over to his family after their completion.
