SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to receive light rainfall in parts of the region and snowfall over higher reaches around November 5 as a weak Western Disturbance is expected to affect the Union Territory, Meteorological Department Director Mukhtar Ahmad said on Tuesday.
Speaking to the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Ahmad said the system may cause light precipitation at isolated places, while most areas are expected to remain dry from November 6 to 9.
He said another Western Disturbance is likely to influence the region on November 10 and 11, bringing the possibility of light rain in some districts of both Kashmir and Jammu divisions and light snowfall over higher-altitude areas.
Isolated thundershowers are also possible during this period, he said, adding that no major weather activity is expected under the current forecast. (KNO)
