Jammu: Director Colleges Professor Twinkle Sure on Tuesday met Education Minister Shamim Firdous and discussed developmental priorities and challenges facing the higher education sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting, held following the reopening of the Civil Secretariat in Jammu under the Darbar Move, focused on the development of government colleges, upgradation of educational infrastructure and improvement of academic facilities across the Union Territory.
Professor Sure briefed the minister on ongoing departmental initiatives and highlighted issues requiring government intervention to accelerate the development of higher education institutions.
Firdous stressed the need to strengthen the higher education system, improve institutional infrastructure and provide better academic facilities and quality educational opportunities to students.
