During the meeting, the concerned Executive Engineers briefed Rana about the latest status of various ongoing projects, funds released under different schemes and expenditure incurred so far.

Emphasising the need to strengthen public infrastructure and improve service delivery, Rana called upon the officers to maintain close coordination and adopt a result-oriented approach towards the execution of developmental works.

He said timely completion of water supply schemes must remain a priority to ensure reliable access to drinking water, particularly for people living in areas facing challenges in water availability.

“The government is committed to ensuring equitable access to basic amenities and improving the quality of life of people, particularly in far-flung and underserved areas. Developmental works must translate into tangible benefits for the people on the ground,” the minister said.

Reviewing irrigation projects in Mendhar, Rana directed the officers to expedite ongoing works while ensuring quality standards and adherence to stipulated timelines. He called for regular field inspections and effective monitoring to identify implementation-related issues and address bottlenecks without delay.

The minister also stressed that public funds must be utilised judiciously and that every project should progress according to its prescribed schedule. He said timely intervention and proper supervision were essential to ensure quality execution and prevent delays.

Highlighting the importance of coordination between the Jal Shakti and Irrigation and Flood Control departments, Rana said joint efforts were necessary to address local infrastructure requirements and ensure that developmental initiatives responded to the needs of Mendhar’s population.
