The delegation sought attention to the concerns of employees with benchmark disabilities regarding their entitlement to reservation in promotions.

In a separate meeting, Dr Touseef Bhat, president of the Rotary Club of Kashmir, briefed the Lieutenant Governor about the organisation’s ongoing activities, initiatives and community service programmes being undertaken under Rotary International.

During the interaction, Bhat also discussed several environmental concerns, including conservation of water bodies, climate change, air pollution and biodiversity protection. He stressed the need for greater public participation in environmental conservation efforts.

Meanwhile, Mohd Iqbal Ahangar, former chairman of the Municipal Committee Dooru-Verinag and chairman of the Coordination Committee Jammu and Kashmir, also called on Sinha and raised various public issues concerning Dooru.

The discussion focused on youth and women empowerment and other matters of public importance in the area.

The meetings provided an opportunity for the delegations to bring their respective organisational and public concerns to the attention of the Lieutenant Governor.
