The proceedings also focused on transparency and accountability in public administration, timely disposal of pending cases, digital initiatives and capacity-building.

Tariq Ahmad Zarger, former Secretary of the RDD, attended as chief guest, while Javed Hassan Bhat, SSP and AIG Headquarters, ACB Srinagar, and Tasleema Bano, Principal of Government Boys Degree College, Baramulla, were the guests of honour.

Addressing the gathering, Zarger urged young people to uphold honesty, integrity and accountability, saying corruption weakens public institutions, undermines public trust, obstructs development and deprives deserving citizens of their rights and opportunities.

He called upon youth to contribute actively towards building an ethical and transparent society.

Javed Hassan Bhat said combating corruption was a collective responsibility and stressed that public awareness and youth participation were essential to strengthening accountable governance. He urged participants to reject corrupt practices and promote ethical conduct.

Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad, Superintendent of Police, ACB Baramulla-Kupwara-Bandipora Wing, highlighted the objectives of the programme and the role of young people in promoting integrity and accountability in public administration.

A pledge against corruption was administered to participants, while a documentary highlighting the impact of corruption and efforts to combat the menace was screened.

The programme concluded with the presentation of awards and mementos to guests and participants in recognition of their presence and contribution.
