During the interaction, Khatana conducted a sector-wise review of departmental activities, focusing on the progress of developmental projects, implementation of government schemes and issues affecting public welfare.

Residents and representatives from different constituencies raised concerns related to electricity, drinking water, road connectivity, transport, ration distribution, telecommunications, forest-related matters and other essential services.

The MP heard the grievances and took up several issues with the concerned officials on the spot, directing them to initiate prompt action for their early resolution.

Emphasising accountability and public service delivery, Khatana asked officers to maintain regular contact with residents, conduct field visits and ensure that genuine grievances are addressed within stipulated timelines. He also stressed that government scheme benefits should reach eligible beneficiaries and that developmental works be executed efficiently and transparently.

The MP directed Additional District Development Commissioner Ghulam Rasool to obtain progress reports from the concerned officers on the issues raised during the public darbar and submit a consolidated report to his office within two weeks.

He also stressed regular monitoring and follow-up to ensure that the directions translate into action and that public grievances are effectively resolved.
