Officials reviewed traffic congestion, road conditions, junction improvements, traffic circulation and road-user safety, along with the use of technology to improve the movement of vehicles and commuters across the city.

The discussions also covered information technology-based parking management systems, the development of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, the establishment of a Traffic Control Room and the systematic development and upgrading of bus stops.

The meeting was attended by the Joint Commissioner, Revenue and Enforcement, SMC, who is also Additional Chief Executive Officer of SSCL; Chief Engineer, SSCL; Joint Commissioner, Works, SMC; General Manager, Public Transport Operations, SSCL; Executive Engineer, City Roads, SMC; Executive Engineer, SSCL; and General Manager, ICCC, SSCL.
