SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has launched a research study to assess experiences of eve-teasing and awareness among adolescent girls in the Union Territory, covering 800 students from 40 schools across four districts.
The study, titled “Assessment of Eve Teasing and Awareness among Adolescent Girls of UT of J&K”, is being conducted by the National Population Education Project (NPEP) Cell of JKBOSE under the Research and Evaluation component of the Plan of Action approved by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi.
The first phase of the questionnaire-based survey began on October 13 and covered adolescent girls studying in Classes 9 to 12 in selected schools across Jammu, Kishtwar, Kulgam and Srinagar districts.
