SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Wednesday directed Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to accelerate registrations and data compilation under Agristack and the SVAMITVA scheme, calling for regular reviews and timely achievement of district-wise targets.
Chairing a meeting with DCs, Garg stressed the need to achieve complete data entry of Khasras in approved villages under Agristack. He called for close monitoring and prompt action to ensure all assigned targets were met within the stipulated timelines.
He also reviewed farmer registrations under Agristack and the status of property cards generated across districts under SVAMITVA.
Garg congratulated the newly appointed Deputy Commissioners and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with dedication to ensure the smooth functioning of district administrations.
The meeting also reviewed issues raised during previous meetings and field visits. Garg directed the concerned DCs to prioritise their resolution, including the provision of potable water at Budgam and Srinagar railway stations, completion of Srinagar Ring Road Phase-I, and security arrangements and basic amenities at transit accommodations for PM Package employees.
Other issues included the redressal of migrant grievances, land acquisition for security agencies and construction of an access road at Humhama.
The meeting also discussed infrastructure and service-related concerns at AIIMS Awantipora, including electricity and water supply, road maintenance, lift operations, land expansion and bus services.
Emphasising advance planning for winter, Garg directed Deputy Commissioners to convene review meetings and ensure that all necessary arrangements were made well in advance.
He also asked border districts to stock essential commodities and fuel ahead of winter to maintain uninterrupted supplies during the months of adverse weather.
Additional Commissioners, Assistant Commissioner Central and the Officer on Special Duty to the Divisional Commissioner attended the meeting.
