Additional Chief Secretary, Power Development Department, Ashwani Kumar; Administrative Secretary, Science and Technology Department, Babila Rakwal; JKPDCL Managing Director Rahul Yadav; the Chief Executive Officer of JAKEDA; managing directors of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) and Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL); chief engineers, superintending engineers and representatives of the audit and Finance departments were also present.

During the deliberations, the committee stressed transparency, accountability and adherence to established procedures in the functioning of the organisations.

Saifullah and other members directed the departments to furnish satisfactory replies to the audit queries, supported by relevant records, documentary evidence and factual details. They said incomplete, vague or evasive responses should be avoided and asked the concerned officers to take personal responsibility for the accuracy of the information submitted.

The committee also called for a fair and equitable delivery of services across Jammu and Kashmir, without regional discrimination. It said departmental policies, programmes and resource allocation should be guided by public interest, transparency and need-based considerations.
