Budgam: Police personnel in Budgam were felicitated for exposing an alleged fake employment syndicate and adopting a digital beat policing system, officials said on Friday.
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Sujit Kumar Singh distributed commendation certificates, appreciation letters and rewards among the personnel in recognition of their work. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Kashmir Range, Rajiv Pandey, was also present.
Those recognised included Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Budgam, Hariprasad KK; Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Magam, Ashrif Lissery; Station House Officer (SHO), Beerwah, Mudassir Nassar; and SHO Magam, Khurshid Awan, along with 17 other police personnel.
The team of Police Station Beerwah was recognised for its role in exposing a fake employment syndicate, while personnel at Police Station Magam were appreciated for adopting the Digital Beat Policing System.
The recognition highlighted efforts towards technology-enabled policing, investigation and public service, officials said.
