He said improved rail infrastructure was creating new economic opportunities and strengthening the Union Territory’s integration with the rest of the country.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the expansion of railway infrastructure is driving a major boost in the tourism, horticulture, industrial and other economic sectors of the Union Territory. Today, Jammu and Kashmir is moving forward with unprecedented confidence towards peace and prosperity,” he said.

The Lieutenant Governor also underscored the importance of enhanced connectivity in border areas, saying it is crucial not only for local economic development but also for national security.

The media delegation, accompanied by Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Vineet Abhishek and senior railway officials, is on a four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir to study the region’s rail network and infrastructure development.
