Jammu: Army’s Northern Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Tuesday visited the border district of Rajouri to review the security situation.
The General Officer Commanding-in-chief, Northern Command, Lt Gen Sharma stressed the need for troops to remain resolute, vigilant and fully prepared to thwart any misadventure by the adversary.
“The Army Commander visited Kalakot and Rajouri sectors to review operational preparedness and the security scenario. He was briefed on key operational aspects, including vigilance, training, synergy and innovative practices adopted to maintain a dominant posture for robust security along LoC (Line of Control) and hinterland,” the Udhampur-based Northern Command said in a post on X.
Interacting with the troops, the Army said Lt Gen Sharma commended their professionalism and devotion to duty.
“He emphasized the need to stay resolute and ready to counter any misadventure by the adversary,” the Army said.
