Power shutdowns to affect parts of Srinagar on Oct 6, 7 and 12

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several parts of Srinagar due to maintenance work on various 33 kV transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, power supply to Peerbagh, Cooperative Colony, Jeelanabad, Hyderpora, Nadru, Police Headquarters (PHQ), Airport, Sheikhpora, Friends Colony, Humhama Heights, Tawheed Bagh and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10 am to 3 pm on October 7 owing to the shutdown of the 33 kV Air Force line.

In a separate shutdown, power supply to Kondabal, Hassanabad, Hazaribagh, JLNM Hospital, Jogilanker, Makhdoom Sahib, Miskeen Bagh, Rozbal and nearby areas will be affected from 8 am to 2 pm on October 6 and October 12 due to maintenance of the 33 kV Wanganpora-Khanyar-Rainawari line.

Meanwhile, electricity supply to the Chief Minister’s residence, Deputy Chief Minister’s residence, Paras Hospital and areas fed by the 11 kV F-4 Sonwar feeder will remain affected from 11 am to 2 pm on October 7 because of the shutdown of the 33 kV Cheshmashahi-TRC-Nedous line.

KPDCL also said power supply to Pandach, Pathan Colony, Gulab Bagh, Mir Mohalla, Umarhair, Nowbugh, Ahmad Nagar, 90 Feet Road, Khalmulla, Shuhama, Bakura, Darend, Nagbal, Fatehpora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Chunduna, Saloora, Shairpathri and adjoining areas will be affected from noon to 2 pm on October 6 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Alusteng-Zakoora feeder and 33 kV Alusteng-Nagbal line.
