ANANTNAG: A new Barista Hybrid café was inaugurated at Mattan Main Chowk in Anantnag district on Sunday, with Agriculture Production Minister Javid Ahmad Dar describing the hospitality sector as a growing avenue for youth entrepreneurship in Jammu and Kashmir.
The café was inaugurated by Dar in the presence of MLAs Reyaz Ahmad Khan, Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Zafar Ali Khatana and other local dignitaries.
Speaking at the event, the minister said the increasing influx of tourists and visitors to Kashmir was creating opportunities in the hospitality and service sectors, particularly for young entrepreneurs. He said the establishment of branded outlets in emerging locations could contribute to local employment generation and economic activity.
Dar said the government was supporting youth entrepreneurship through schemes such as the Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) programme, Mission YUVA and other Union Territory-level initiatives. He added that the Agriculture Production Department was also extending support to entrepreneurs through its programmes.
He urged young people to take advantage of these schemes and explore business opportunities aligned with local demand and emerging market trends.
The minister also congratulated the management of the Barista Hybrid Café, saying such investments could encourage entrepreneurship and create employment opportunities in the region.
